Thoughts Have Hands

Cup empty

Feet bare 

Hands free

Breathing air

Float in silence

Buoyant as water 

Soaked with attention. 

No resistance, 

No insistence, 

Only persistence, 

Fearing no end.

Swing on the porch 

Hear the wind sing 

As glimmers of light 

 

Dawn.
